Shared Telephone Service (STS) provides common Wake-up and Voice Mail service for all suite extensions. STS is optional. When disabled, Wake-ups and Voice Mail for each suite extension are handled independently, with the exception of incoming calls to the Suite Pilot Number which are presented to all suite extensions and use the Voice Mail of the Primary Suite Extension. By disabling STS guests can share a room under a single Suite Check-In and receive individual messaging and wake-ups.
A Suite with STS disabled can only be a member of a Linked Suite with STS disabled (cannot be a member of a Linked Suite with STS enabled).
When STS is disabled (previously enabled), only the Primary Suite Extension is configured by default. Programming is required to configure each Secondary Suite Extension.
When STS is enabled (previously disabled), programming is required to delete all Secondary Suite Extension configuration.
Teldir entries for each guest must be entered through Telephone Directory form and deleted on checkout manually; there is no automatic entry or removal.
Use the Suites or Multi-device Suites form, to configure the Primary and Secondary Suite Extensions.
